U.S. working on evacuation flights for Americans in Jerusalem
Stockholm, June 18 (Hibya) – U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said the U.S. is working to arrange evacuation flights and sea routes for Americans wishing to leave Israel.
In a post on his personal X account, later reposted on official accounts, Huckabee stated: “Urgent announcement! American citizens who wish to leave Israel – the U.S. Embassy in Israel @usembassyjlm is working on evacuation flights and ship routes.”
Huckabee added that Americans should register with the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive alerts and updates. He did not specify when the evacuation efforts would begin.
The U.S. Department of State did not immediately respond when asked about the timeline for evacuations.
