UNRWA: No humanitarian aid or materials entering Gaza Strip
New York, April 12 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) announced that since March 2, when Israeli authorities imposed a blockade, no humanitarian aid or materials have entered the Gaza Strip.
UNRWA issued a statement on developments in Gaza and the West Bank.
According to the statement, on April 8, Israeli officials from the Jerusalem Municipality, accompanied by Israeli security forces, forcibly entered six UNRWA schools in East Jerusalem and issued a 30-day closure order.
“According to the UN, over a thousand children were killed or injured in Gaza during the first week after the ceasefire collapse.”
The statement further noted: “Since March 2, no humanitarian aid or supplies have entered Gaza. As a result, critical humanitarian materials such as food, fuel, medical aid, and vaccines for children are rapidly running out.”
