Spajic: Let's protect nature so it can protect us
Podgorica, July 10 (Hibya) - Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajic announced that around 500 divers, students, volunteers, and institutional representatives took part in a sea and underwater cleanup event held in the Bay of Kotor.
Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajic made a statement regarding the sea and underwater cleanup operation carried out in the Bay of Kotor.
Spajic said that the event, organized with the support of the European Union Delegation and EU Commissioner Marta Kos, was the most comprehensive marine cleanup operation ever conducted in the region.
He noted that around 500 divers, students, volunteers, institutional representatives, civil society organizations, and members of local communities participated in the event, adding that the Bay of Kotor is among the areas proposed for inclusion in the Natura 2000 network.
Spajic stated that the bay contains protected habitats and natural monuments, emphasizing that preserving them is a shared responsibility for everyone.
