Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov held talks with Omani Foreign Minister al-Busaidi
Moscow, June 18 (Hibya) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi.
The conversation addressed the unprecedented escalation of tensions in the Middle East caused by Israel's large-scale military operation against Iran, carried out in violation of the UN Charter and international law.
The Foreign Ministers emphasized the importance of ending the hostilities as soon as possible and preventing the expansion of the conflict zone, which could lead to tragic consequences for the entire region.
They highlighted the need to continue joint efforts to overcome the conflict through political and diplomatic means and to create favorable conditions for launching a sustainable negotiation process.
