Prime Minister Luxon's Visit to Fudan University
Wellington, June 19 (Hibya) – New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon visited Fudan University, one of China’s leading higher education institutions.
During the visit, opportunities for cooperation in research and innovation between the universities of the two countries were discussed.
Following the meeting, Luxon stated that attracting more international students to New Zealand contributes positively to the country’s economy. He noted that the economic activity generated by international students creates jobs and helps raise wages for New Zealanders.
Prime Minister Luxon emphasized that international cooperation in education is important both academically and economically.
