Netanyahu: Edan Alexander’s return is a moment of great joy
Jerusalem, May 12 (Hibya) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the return of IDF Sergeant Edan Alexander, who was freed from Hamas captivity, as an “emotional moment.”
Netanyahu said, “Edan Alexander is home. We embrace him and his family.”
Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that Edan’s release was the result of Israeli military pressure and diplomatic efforts led by U.S. President Donald Trump. “It’s a winning combination,” he said, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation.
Netanyahu also referred to a phone call with President Trump earlier in the day, saying, “President Trump told me, ‘I am committed to Israel; I will continue to work closely with you to achieve all your war goals.’”
