North Macedonia's Foreign Minister Timco Mucunski met with representatives of the Macedonian diaspora in New Jersey as part of his working visit to the United States.

In a social media post, Mucunski said he attended a service at the Saints Cyril and Methodius Church in New Jersey together with the delegation led by Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski.

Mucunski said the meeting addressed strengthening ties between the Macedonian diaspora and the country, promoting the Macedonian language, culture and identity, and increasing the diaspora's involvement in initiatives related to economic development, investment and areas of common interest, adding that the diaspora is an important bridge in relations with the United States.

Mucunski noted that the government aims to connect the diaspora's potential more strongly with the country's institutions, economy and development.
