Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva spoke about the political struggle carried out for the transparency of centers of power and the well-being of the people, emphasizing his determination in the pursuit of social justice and real democracy.

Referring to the words of Pope Leo XIV, Lula da Silva said: “Pope Leo XIV had said that democracy risks becoming a mask for the domination of economic and technological elites. Our role is to unmask these forces.”

Speaking about the fight against disinformation, Lula da Silva said: “To unmask those who declare themselves the owners of truth but spread lies and disinformation; to unmask those who see themselves as men of God but do not love their neighbors, those who speak of freedom but persecute those who are different.”

Lula da Silva concluded his statement with the words: “We must replace cowardice with dreams, and hatred with hope.”
