Carney: We renew our responsibility to build a safer country for Canadians
Ottawa, April 18 (Hibya) – Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that 22 people lost their lives in the deadliest mass shooting in Canada’s history.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney emphasized determination to enhance public safety and prevent similar tragedies.
Reflecting on the anniversary of the attack, Carney said: “Six years ago, 22 people lost their lives in the deadliest mass shooting in Canada’s history. Today, we remember the lives lost. We carry their families, loved ones, communities, and all of Nova Scotia in our hearts.”
Addressing responsibilities for the future, Carney stated: “We renew our responsibility to honor the victims not only through mourning, but through sustainable and meaningful actions to build a safer country for all Canadians.”
