Lahbib: We discussed major crises and our shared priorities with UNICEF
Brussels, May 11 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib met with UNICEF, the United Nations’ second-largest partner, and held a meeting on global humanitarian aid strategies and crisis management.
European Union (EU) Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib, during her meeting with the UNICEF delegation, drew attention to the importance of the effective use of humanitarian aid funds and common approaches to be developed against global crises.
Providing information about the content of the meeting, Lahbib said: “We had a productive meeting with UNICEF, our second-largest partner in the United Nations.”
Referring to the humanitarian aid process, Lahbib said: “I reaffirmed our principled commitment, discussed major crises and shared priorities, ways to improve the situation, the reorganization of humanitarian aid funding under global pressure, and our upcoming humanitarian aid communication in the EU.”
