European Union (EU) Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib spoke about the content of the meeting and the fundamental principles agreed upon.

Referring to the nature of the meeting and its main topic, Lahbib said: “We had a sincere and constructive exchange with German Minister Karin Prien regarding our shared commitment to equality.”

Providing information about equality strategies and Germany’s stance, Lahbib stated: “We agree on the necessity of involving boys and men in advancing gender equality.”

Lahbib said: “I appreciate Germany’s determination in combating gender-based violence and conversion practices.”
