Lahbib: Everywhere I went, the stories of women and girls were unforgettable
Brussels, June 20 (Hibya) – European Union Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness, and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib made a statement about her visits to crisis regions.
Lahbib stated that she visited Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, the Rohingya camps in Bangladesh, Adré in Chad, the Zaatari camp in Jordan, and the Turkish province of Gaziantep. She noted that she spoke directly with people in these areas and emphasized that the experiences of women and girls left an indelible mark on her memory.
She said she listened to the stories of people in the places she visited and emphasized that the humanitarian scenes she encountered deeply affected her.
