Herzog Comments on Appointment of Hunia as Poland’s Ambassador
Jerusalem, July 21 (Hibya) – Israeli President Isaac Herzog expressed his pleasure in accepting the credentials of Poland’s new ambassador, Maciej Hunia.
In his statement, President Herzog said, “After four years without a resident Polish ambassador in Israel, I was pleased this morning to accept the credentials of Poland’s new ambassador, Maciej Hunia.”
Herzog noted that this appointment is a significant step both in the context of the long and complex history between the two countries and because of Poland’s important voice in Europe and on the international stage. Herzog added, “We are still fighting for the swift return of our hostages in Gaza and reiterate our call, living with the hope for a better future filled with peace and stability in our region.”
