Frederiksen attends JEF Leaders’ Meeting
Copenhagen, May 8 (Hibya) – The Danish Prime Minister’s Office announced that Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen is attending the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) Leaders’ Meeting.
According to a statement from the Danish Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen is participating in the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) Leaders’ Meeting.
The statement noted:
"Europe’s stability and security are on the agenda with Frederiksen’s participation in the JEF Leaders’ Meeting on May 8–9. Leaders from the Nordic-Baltic countries, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom are attending. The JEF leaders will discuss how the JEF can support NATO’s deterrence and collective defence. The cooperation focuses particularly on the Baltic Sea region, the North Atlantic, and the Arctic. Topics will include the protection of critical undersea infrastructure and threats such as Russia’s so-called 'shadow fleet' involved in illegal maritime transport. The Prime Minister of the Faroe Islands, Aksel V. Johannesen, and Greenland’s Premier Jens-Frederik Nielsen will join the discussions online."
