Canadian Foreign Minister Anand congratulated Frechette, the new leader of Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ), in a statement shared on her social media account.

Anand described Frechette’s rise to the premiership in Quebec as a “significant development,” stating that female leadership is a powerful source of inspiration for young girls and women across the country.

In her statement, Anand said, “As a woman, I particularly value a woman taking on this role. Many young girls and women across Canada are inspired by your leadership. We look forward to working with you.”

The message also included positive expectations regarding the continuation of cooperation between the Canadian federal government and the Quebec administration.
