Zelensky: We have reached $1 billion in investment agreements in the Carpathians
Kyiv, September 18 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he attended the first Carpathian Economic Forum with Romanian President Nicușor Dan, where investment opportunities in the region were discussed and agreements totaling $1 billion were reached.

Zelensky said the forum featured a special investment fair area where the countries of the Carpathian Eight presented investment opportunities in the region. He said nine Ukrainian companies showcased projects in the energy, industry, transport and logistics, and agri-food sectors, adding that he visited the exhibition with Romanian President Dan after the forum.
Commenting on the results achieved following the forum, Zelensky said, “This is only the beginning, and we have already achieved very good results from the first summit. A large number of businesses are joining the process to make this happen. We already have agreements worth $1 billion.”
Zelensky said there is strong demand for investment in the Carpathians and stated that the next step would be investments in tourism.
