Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that humanitarian issues are a priority in the diplomatic process with Russia and that the release of prisoners is a key determining factor in Ukraine’s position.

Assessing the signals regarding the negotiation process, Zelensky said, “In recent days, we have received many calls and signals regarding tomorrow’s talks in Moscow connected to our long-term sanctions against Russia. The principle of symmetry in our actions is well known and has been clearly communicated to the Russian side.”

Speaking about prisoners of war, Zelensky stated, “An additional argument for Ukraine in determining our position has always been the resolution of one of the most important humanitarian issues of this war, namely the release of prisoners of war.”

Sharing details of the exchange and ceasefire agreement, Zelensky said, “Today, within the framework of the negotiation process conducted under the mediation of the American side, we received Russia’s agreement to conduct a prisoner exchange in a 1000-for-1000 format. In addition, a ceasefire regime should be established on May 9, 10, and 11.”

Stressing that humanitarian values are more important than symbolic places, Zelensky said, “Red Square is less important to us than the lives of Ukrainian prisoners who can be brought home. Ukraine is constantly working to free its people from Russian captivity.”
