Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for global cooperation to prevent the spread of the war in the region.

Drawing particular attention to the effects of disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz on the world economy, Zelensky pointed to the Iranian regime as the main source of instability in the region.

Referring to Iran’s destructive impact in the field of defense technologies, Zelensky said: "Everyone sees that global markets are destabilizing due to the effective halt of transit through the Strait of Hormuz. It is difficult to dispute the fact that the regime in Iran is inherently terrorist."

Emphasizing the importance of Ukraine’s experience in the defense sector for global security, Zelensky stated: “Ukraine can contribute to stability. More than ten countries have asked us for support in defending against Iran’s ‘Shahed’ attack drones. These are essentially the same attack drones that the Iranian regime supplies to Russia and teaches Russians to use.”
