Zelensky: New air defense support is coming from France
Kyiv, October 15 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he discussed strengthening air defense and fighter jet capabilities during his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, announcing that France would provide new support packages this month.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed Russia's attacks and measures to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities during his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.
Zelensky announced that Russia had carried out a drone attack on energy infrastructure in the city of Lutsk, causing power outages. Noting that Russia continues missile and drone attacks across Ukraine, Zelensky argued that Moscow is ignoring the US President's proposal for an energy ceasefire.
Zelensky said, “New packages will be provided this month to strengthen our fighter jet capabilities.” He added that work under Europe's anti-aircraft defense initiative had been accelerated and that all weapons production licenses promised by France had reached Ukraine.
Zelensky emphasized the need for teams to work quickly on implementing these licenses and thanked Macron and France for their support.
