Zelensky: As Russia's attacks continue, the world must act without further delay
Kyiv, June 6 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement following Russia's large-scale air assault across Ukraine.
Zelensky noted that the attack targeted many regions and called on the international community to take immediate and decisive action.
He stated that the regions of Volyn, Lviv, Ternopil, Kyiv, Sumy, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv were hit, with missiles and drones directly targeting civilian life. While Ukrainian air defense systems managed to neutralize some threats, “unfortunately, not all missiles and drones were intercepted.”
Zelensky added that more than 400 drones and over 40 missiles were used in the attack, 49 people were injured, and 3 were confirmed dead. The deceased were members of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Zelensky offered condolences to their families.
