Witkoff met with sailors serving aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln
Washington, February 7 (Hibya) – Steve Witkoff, the Middle East Special Envoy of United States (U.S.) President Donald Trump, met with sailors and Marines serving aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln.
U.S. President Donald Trump’s Middle East Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, together with the Commander of the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper, and Jared Kushner, met with sailors and Marines serving aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, its carrier strike group, and the 9th Carrier Air Wing.
Thanking the sailors and Marines, Witkoff observed live flight operations and spoke with the pilot who shot down an Iranian unmanned aerial vehicle that approached the ship with unclear intent.
Witkoff said he was proud to be alongside the service members who stand watch every day, defend U.S. interests, deter adversaries, and demonstrate America’s readiness and determination to the world.
