Uzbek Foreign Minister Saidov meets with U.S. Deputy Secretary Rogers
Tashkent, June 2 (Hibya) - Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov discussed strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries and advancing public diplomacy during a meeting with U.S. State Department official Sara Rogers.
Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Saidov issued a statement regarding his meeting with U.S. Deputy Secretary Rogers, which took place in Tashkent.
The meeting addressed various areas of cooperation between the two countries, with a particular focus on education, culture, information sharing, and public diplomacy.
Saidov stated that the meeting was held in a sincere and constructive atmosphere and said that such contacts would further strengthen the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States. He also emphasized that increasing mutual understanding between the two peoples is an important pillar of bilateral relations.
The statement added that such engagements would contribute to the further deepening of relations at a time of increasing diplomatic activity in Central Asia.
