Terrorist organization PKK announces its dissolution
Following a call by terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan to lay down arms, the PKK held its congress and announced its dissolution.
After the statement by Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli under the "Terror-Free Turkey" initiative, terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan called on the PKK to lay down arms and disband.
DEM Party spokesperson Ayşegül Doğan stated on May 9 that it was only a matter of time before the PKK held its congress, and the organization later confirmed it had done so.
After the congress, the terrorist organization PKK announced that it had dissolved itself.
