Tajani: I officially requested sanctions against Ben-Gvir
Rome, May 21 (Hibya) - Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani requested sanctions against Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir on behalf of the Italian Government.
Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani announced that he had officially requested sanctions against Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir at the next meeting of the European Union (EU) Foreign Ministers due to his unacceptable actions against activists in international waters.
Referring to the formal request he conveyed to EU High Representative Kaja Kallas, Tajani said: "On behalf of the Italian Government, I formally requested High Representative Kaja Kallas to impose sanctions on Israeli National Security Minister Ben-Gvir at the next meeting of EU Foreign Ministers because of his unacceptable actions against the Flotilla, abducting activists in international waters and violating the most fundamental human rights by subjecting them to harassment and humiliation."
