Sharif: We will continue our close cooperation for regional peace and stability
Islamabad, April 9 (Hibya) – Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and stated that they discussed support for Pakistan’s efforts in the Iran-U.S. ceasefire process and regional peace issues.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made a statement regarding the content of the meeting with Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and regional stability.
Referring to the ceasefire process and Bahrain’s support, Sharif said: “I am grateful for His Majesty’s kind words and support for Pakistan’s sincere efforts to facilitate the Iran-U.S. ceasefire; we hope this will pave the way for lasting peace in the region.”
Highlighting Bahrain’s stance during the crisis and the losses, Sharif stated: “I expressed my deep appreciation for the exemplary restraint shown by Bahrain’s leadership during the recent clashes and offered my condolences for the loss of lives, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.”
Sharif concluded: “We reaffirmed our commitment to continuing close cooperation for regional peace and stability.”
