Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Shaheen met with Maldives Foreign Minister Abdulla Halil on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

Shaheen thanked the government and people of the Maldives for their continued support and firm historic stance toward the State of Palestine across various international platforms. He also emphasized the importance of the assistance provided by the Maldivian government to the Palestinian people and highlighted the depth of the fraternal relations between the two countries.

The two sides discussed the latest political and humanitarian developments related to the Palestinian issue, particularly the priority of achieving a comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, as well as strengthening bilateral relations in various fields.
