Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Ghanaian Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

According to a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry, the current state of cooperation between the two countries was discussed during the meeting.

Lavrov noted that this was Ablakwa's first visit to Russia as Ghana's Foreign Minister and pointed to the importance of joint efforts to maintain relations between the two countries.

Stating that they would sign a document, Lavrov said, “We will also sign an important document: an agreement on visa-free travel for holders of diplomatic and service passports.”
