According to a statement from Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. The call addressed cooperation between the two countries and steps to strengthen their relations.

The two officials also discussed the latest regional developments, diplomatic efforts and joint coordination aimed at de-escalating tensions and enhancing security and stability. Al Thani reaffirmed Qatar's support for diplomatic initiatives aimed at reaching a solution that guarantees freedom of maritime navigation and lays the groundwork for a comprehensive agreement to ensure lasting peace in the region.
