Qatar Foreign Ministry’s 14th letter to the UN regarding Iran’s attacks
Doha, April 11 (Hibya) - Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it had notified the United Nations (UN) Secretariat and the UN Security Council regarding the attacks carried out by Iran against the country’s territory.
In the statement by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was emphasized that the attacks in question constitute a clear violation of national sovereignty and threaten regional stability.
The State of Qatar sent its 14th similar letter to United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and to Jamal Fares Al Rowaiei, the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations and President of the Security Council for the month of April, regarding the latest developments related to Iran’s attack on its territory.
The statement included the following:
"Referring to the announcement by Qatar’s Ministry of Defense, it was stated that on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, the country was attacked by the Islamic Republic of Iran with seven ballistic missiles and various unmanned aerial vehicles, and that the Qatari Armed Forces successfully thwarted these attacks.
It was noted that this attack was carried out even after the Security Council adopted Resolution 2817 (2026), which in the strongest terms condemns the attacks launched by the Islamic Republic of Iran against the State of Qatar and neighboring countries and demands the immediate cessation of all such attacks."
