Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired the fourth meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Follow-up Committee to review the country's preparations for its upcoming rotating presidency and the 2027 SCO Summit to be held in Islamabad.

According to a statement issued by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting reviewed preparations for Pakistan's presidency of the SCO Council of Heads of State (CHS) from September 2026 to 2027, as well as arrangements for the CHS Summit scheduled to take place in Islamabad in 2027.

During the meeting, subcommittees briefed participants on preparations for hosting international delegations attending the summit. Progress was reviewed in venue preparations, accommodation, security, financing, media management, transportation, and logistics.

Ishaq Dar instructed the heads of the relevant subcommittees to accelerate the preparation process and stressed the importance of effectively implementing the decisions taken. He emphasized that the SCO Summit is of strategic importance to Pakistan and that all institutions should approach the preparations as a "national duty."

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister's Special Adviser Tariq Bajwa, senior officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defence, Interior and the Cabinet Division, the Islamabad Chief Commissioner, the Islamabad Inspector General of Police, and representatives of relevant institutions.
