Netanyahu: They are trying to blackmail the whole world
Jerusalem, March 22 (Hibya) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, speaking at the site of the missile attack in Arad, stated that Iran had targeted civilian areas and holy sites in the past 48 hours, arguing that this threat now extends deep into Europe and to international energy routes.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the Arad area where missile attacks took place and made strong statements regarding Iran’s military activities.
Stating that Iran deliberately targets civilian areas, Netanyahu said, "If you want proof that Iran is endangering the entire world, the last 48 hours have shown it. Iran targeted an area where civilians live. They are doing this as a weapon of mass destruction. Fortunately, no one was killed, but that was by chance. Their intention is to kill civilians."
Emphasizing that the attacks also threaten holy sites, Netanyahu added, "Secondly, they fired toward Jerusalem; right next to the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and Al-Aqsa Mosque, which are holy sites for the three monotheistic religions."
Pointing to the expanding geographic scope of the threat, Netanyahu stated, "They now have the capability to reach deep into Europe. They have already fired at European countries and Cyprus. They are targeting everyone. And fourth, they are shutting down an international sea route, an energy route, and trying to blackmail the entire world."
