Metsola: 10 years have passed since the Brussels attacks
Brussels, March 22 (Hibya) - European Parliament President Roberta Metsola attended the 10th anniversary commemoration ceremonies of the Brussels attacks, where she met with the Belgian Royal Family, Prime Minister Bart De Wever, and relatives of the victims. Metsola emphasized solidarity with the message: “Europe remembers.”
European Parliament President Roberta Metsola attended a high-level commemoration ceremony marking the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks that took place in Brussels in 2016.
Drawing attention to the unity and shared grief at the ceremony, Metsola said: “Ten years have passed since the Brussels attacks, but the memories remain vivid. Together with Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, Prime Minister Bart De Wever, and the families of the victims, we came together to honor those who lost their lives and everyone whose lives were changed forever.”
Stating that she was moved by the resilience of the victims’ relatives, Metsola said: “Listening to their stories of love, loss, and extraordinary courage reminded me that even in our darkest moments, dignity and strength shine through. Europe remembers.”
