Nassereddine condemns Israel’s attacks on emergency services
Beirut, March 29 (Hibya) - Lebanese Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine condemned Israel’s attacks on civilian residential areas and emergency service units during an urgent press conference, stating that healthcare facilities are being systematically targeted.
According to CCTV, Minister Nassereddine announced that 9 healthcare workers and 3 media personnel were killed in the past 12 hours.
Since the beginning of the clashes, the total number of deaths in the health sector has reached 51. According to official data, a total of 75 healthcare facilities have been attacked so far, including 9 hospitals and 18 emergency centers; 5 of these facilities have been completely put out of service and forced to close.
Emphasizing that the targeted locations are not military facilities, Nassereddine said: “From a legal perspective, is this a military site? Where are the missiles inside? Where is the ammunition inside? Is this a military helmet? If anyone sees anything else, let me know. We will also prepare and submit a complete legal file to the Council of Ministers, which is in the process of filing a complaint with the [UN] Security Council to reveal the truth.”
Stating that Israel does not comply with agreements, Nassereddine said: “We know very well that our enemy Israel does not comply with either the Geneva Conventions or the Hague Conventions, and we do not expect their children and grandchildren to comply either.”
