Macron stated that Europe was shaped by the struggle of those who believe nationalism and war are not destiny, and that the continent protects its citizens by acting quickly, strongly, and in solidarity during times of crisis.
Macron also stated that the European Union is not merely a common market, but also supports European citizens in many areas such as agriculture, youth, universities, research, employment, culture, borders, and security.
At the end of his message, Macron stated that being European is a source of pride and celebrated Europe Day.
