Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

European Commissioner for Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib made a statement on humanitarian diplomacy and the role of aid workers. Emphasizing the importance of people working on the ground to deliver assistance to those in need, Lahbib said, "Humanitarian aid has no legs. It has no wings. It has no wheels."

Pointing out that delivering aid to those in need depends on human effort, Lahbib stated, "If bread reaches a hungry family, a person carried it there. Humanitarian diplomacy rarely makes headlines. But it can open a prison door."

Lahbib also addressed concrete steps to protect humanitarian workers, announcing that the Netherlands had joined the Aid Worker Protection Programme.
