Stockholm, August 20 (Hibya) - Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said defense cooperation among the Nordic countries is strong and announced that discussions will be held on developing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and defense capabilities against them.

Kristersson said he would meet with his Nordic counterparts in Hovelte, Denmark, noting that one of the main topics of the meeting would be drones and the development of defense capabilities against them. He added that the war in Ukraine has demonstrated how significantly drones have changed the battlefield.
Kristersson emphasized that the Nordic countries should draw lessons from Ukraine’s battlefield experience, noting that defense capacity should be developed through technology, innovation and industrial strength.
Kristersson said this approach aims both to increase Sweden’s security and to build a stronger Nordic region.
