Kallas: Lithuanians know the price of freedom very well
Vilnius, September 7 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas warned, during her contacts in Lithuania, about Russia's increasing hybrid attacks and Europe's defence capabilities.
EU High Representative Kaja Kallas shared her assessments of Europe's security architecture following high-level meetings with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda and Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevicius.
Emphasizing Lithuania's historical stance, Kallas said, "Lithuanians know the price of freedom very well. They bring this clarity to Europe as well."
Drawing attention to the main items on the agenda of the talks, Kallas said, "Today, President Gitanas Nauseda, Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevicius and I discussed a range of issues, including Russia's increasingly reckless and irresponsible hybrid attacks. We must be prepared for further provocations on European territory."
Kallas concluded her statement by saying, "Together, we must ensure that Europe has the determination, resources and capabilities to defend itself."
