Israeli airstrikes in Gaza kill at least 40 people overnight
Stockholm, May 15 (Hibya) – According to Palestinian hospital sources, Israeli airstrikes in Gaza killed at least 40 people overnight.
At least nine separate locations in the south were hit, with at least 36 bodies reported taken to hospitals.
Further north, Israel ordered people to evacuate parts of Gaza City and warned that its forces would strike with "intense force".
The airstrikes occurred amid Israel's ongoing blockade on aid entering Gaza — no aid has been allowed for ten weeks.
On October 7, Hamas attacked Israel, killing at least 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages.
According to the Hamas-run health ministry, Israel's retaliatory military campaign has killed at least 52,829 people in Gaza.
