Iran’s decision on the Strait of Hormuz
Tehran, March 27 (Hibya) - Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that no vessel linked to countries supporting the United States and Israel will be allowed to pass through the strait.
According to CCTV, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that in maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, no vessel linked to countries supporting the United States and Israel will be allowed to transit.
The IRGC Navy said it had turned back three container ships approaching the corridor said to be open only to certain vessels, warning that the strait is effectively closed and that any attempt to violate this would have serious consequences.
In the statement, which also referred to U.S. President Donald Trump’s remarks that the strait is open, those claims were described as “misleading.”
The IRGC also called on civilians in countries across the region to immediately leave the areas around locations where U.S. forces are present.
