IDF: Chief of Staff Zamir held holiday meeting with Bedouin representatives
Tel Aviv, May 29 (Hibya) - According to a statement by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir met with local officials and senior Bedouin officers on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
In a statement, the IDF said that Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir met with Bedouin officers.
The statement noted that Zamir met today at the Zerzir local council with Bedouin local government representatives and senior Bedouin commanders serving in the military.
It was reported that during the meeting Zamir thanked members of the Bedouin community and their families serving in regular, professional, and reserve capacities for their contributions. The statement also said that discussions addressed the importance of Bedouin participation in the military.
