Guterres: Sustainable Development Goals are an opportunity to build a fairer world
Brussels, September 18 (Hibya) - United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said the Sustainable Development Goals are a shared promise of a better world for everyone and our greatest opportunity.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said the Sustainable Development Goals were shaped by the shared commitment of every government and the expectations of people around the world.
Referring to the importance of the promise, Guterres said, “Keeping this promise is an obligation.”
Guterres concluded his statement by saying, “At the same time, this is our greatest opportunity to build a fairer, safer and more sustainable world.”
