Guterres: Peace begins with culture
New York, November 5 (Hibya) - United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres highlighted the role of culture in building peace, stating that culture is a fundamental human right and a value that forms the shared fabric of humanity.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated in a social media post that culture encourages people to ask questions, put themselves in others' shoes and recognize humanity even in those they have confronted in the past.
Guterres noted that culture is a fundamental right and forms the fabric of the human family, fostering understanding and empathy among people. "That is the power of culture. That is where peace begins," Guterres said.
