Guterres met with women leaders in Papua New Guinea
Port Moresby, September 7 (Hibya) - UNRWA Secretary-General Antonio Guterres met in Papua New Guinea with leaders working to increase opportunities for women and girls.
UNRWA Secretary-General Guterres held a meeting with a group of women leaders striving to overcome systemic and cultural barriers in Papua New Guinea.
The meeting addressed issues such as ending gender-based violence, increasing women’s representation, and strengthening communities.
Guterres praised the courage and resilience of Papua New Guinean women and stated that UNRWA would continue to support them.
