According to a statement by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Abrar Hashmi opened the meeting. Mirza Nasir ud Din Mashood Ahmed, Special Secretary of the Petroleum Division, and Ahmed Hayat Lak, Managing Director of OGDC, along with their teams, also briefed participants about the forum.

The meeting covered the forum's concept, thematic sessions, program, venue and registration process. Information was also provided on the participation of ministers, diplomats, investors and industry representatives, as well as the exhibition area and government-to-government and government-to-business meetings.
