Costa: The EU will continue to defend the rules-based international order
Brussels, March 10 (Hibya) - European Council President Antonio Costa said the European Union will continue to strengthen international cooperation as a reliable partner and support the rules-based international order.
European Council President Costa stated that the European Union will remain a reliable partner, a defender of the rules-based international order, and a supporter of the United Nations Charter.
Recalling that cooperation with like-minded democracies has been strengthened in today’s changing global environment, Costa said: “In 2025 we organized 12 international summits and established 9 security and defense partnerships.”
Costa also emphasized that in this way the European Union increases its global influence, promotes multilateralism, and contributes to the stability of the rules-based international order.
