Cooper: Putin has once again shown that he is not interested in peace
London, May 14 (Hibya) - UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper stated following Russia’s large-scale attack on Ukraine that the attacks took place only days after a ceasefire initiative brokered through United States (US) President Donald Trump, arguing that Russian President Vladimir Putin does not want peace.
UK Foreign Secretary Cooper made statements regarding Russia’s latest attacks against Ukraine.
Cooper stated that Russia had launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine and noted that the attack occurred only a few days after the ceasefire initiative brokered by the US President.
Cooper said that civilians lost their lives as a result of the attacks, some people were trapped under rubble, and many homes were destroyed.
Arguing that Russian President Putin “has once again shown that he is not interested in peace,” Cooper stated that Ukraine’s resistance would not be broken.
