Bulgarian Prime Minister Gyurov congratulates the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Sofia, March 13 (Hibya) - Bulgarian Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to congratulate the Crisis Headquarters team for the successful completion of the active phase of the operation to evacuate Bulgarian citizens from the Middle East and the Iran region.
According to a statement from the Bulgarian Council of Ministers, Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov paid a visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Gyurov emphasized that Bulgaria ranks first in the European Union in terms of the number of people evacuated from the UAE.
Referring to letters of thanks received from evacuated citizens, Gyurov said: “I know this is a great responsibility. However, thanks to your efforts, we have shown that Bulgarian citizens can rely on the state when they need it.”
Foreign Minister Nadezhda Neynsky also stated: “Foreign policy often seems distant to people, related to solutions, organizations and international structures. But during this crisis everyone saw what the Ministry of Foreign Affairs means in practice.”
