Anand: We will continue to stand with Ukraine
Ottawa, August 5 (Hibya) – Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand said she strongly condemns Russia's air strikes on Kyiv that resulted in the deaths of civilians.
Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand commented on Russia's latest attacks targeting civilian residential areas and critical infrastructure in Kyiv.
Reacting to the attacks, Anand said: "Canada strongly condemns Russia's overnight attacks on Kyiv, which killed 17 civilians, injured many more, and damaged critical infrastructure and residential neighborhoods."
Stating that Putin has no regard for human life, Anand said: "Russia's latest terrorist attacks reflect Putin's blatant disregard for Ukraine's sovereignty, the freedom of its people, and the value of human life."
Reaffirming Canada's support for Ukraine, Anand concluded: "Canada will continue to stand with Ukraine and work alongside our allies for as long as it takes to achieve a just and lasting peace for all Ukrainians."
