Zelensky: 16 people killed in Kryvyi Rih attack
Kyiv, August 22 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that 16 people were killed and 130 injured in a Russian attack on a shopping center in Kryvyi Rih.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that search and rescue operations are continuing following yesterday's Russian attack in Kryvyi Rih.
Zelensky said the fire that broke out at the shopping center and spread across an area of 9,000 square meters had been extinguished, and that rescue teams from 7 regions and canine search teams were involved in debris removal and search operations. He stated that 16 people were killed and 130 injured in the attack, including 23 children.
Zelensky said ballistic missile attacks in Kyiv damaged railway infrastructure, killing one person and injuring another. He also reported that 3 people were injured in an FPV drone attack on a city minibus in Zaporizhzhia.
Zelensky stated that the regions of Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Sumy, Kherson, Chernihiv and Mykolaiv were also targeted, adding that residential buildings, energy and railway infrastructure, as well as civilian businesses, were damaged.
Zelensky emphasized that preventable casualties occur every day due to insufficient air defense, highlighting the importance of new supplies of ballistic missile interceptors and other missiles.
