The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that it received 5.5 million USD from the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund (UNCERF) in 2024 to strengthen emergency health interventions.
In WHO's statement, it said: "This funding enabled life-saving care and nutrition services to be provided. Support was given to undernourished children. Health centers and hospitals were equipped. Health workers received training in mental health, gender-based violence (GBV), and disease interventions."
